Hello all,

I suppose this question is directed more towards those
who have used the Becker 2011 BEC material and taken the
2011 BEC Exam, but anyone with some input would be
helpful.

How well does Becker 2011 BEC prepare candidates for the
2011 BEC exam and its new topics?

I read a lot on the boards how candidates are caught in
the headlights by some of the BEC questions they've
encountered.

Is that just the nature of BEC questions? Or is that from
study materials lacking information?

I'm currently using the Becker 2011 BEC materials to
prepare for the exam.

Will this material cover the topics on the exam? Will it
be good enough to handle the changes, or will I have to
supplement it?

Thank you for your time. I hope to hear from you soon.

Can't wait to be done with this (and busy season)

I honestly believe that if you received those high of grades for the other three sections, then you will be fine with whatever Becker offers you.  Did you really take those three in a 3-week time period as your name states?

What material you used for other 3 subject, those you have passed already. If you used only becker and got this score then definitely Becker is enough for you otherwise adopt the same approach you used for other three. Good luck

Please also share your study style, any useful tips.

hope it helps!

Yes, unfortunately, I underestimated the extent of the
exams and thus, I put myself through hell trying to
retain 3 becker books-worth of information all at the
same time.

It was very difficult and there were many sleepless
nights and stress I had never experienced before, but in
the end, the time I put in paid off.

From my experience, the questions becker provided were
the best teachers.

I constantly drilled through them and made note of the
ones I got wrong and the ones that I got lucky on. The
source material and the lectures were more of a
supplement for me. I referenced them to get an
understanding of the questions I was missing.

This is one of the main reasons I'm worried about BEC
because I don't think my method will be effective this
time if the Becker 2011 BEC material and questions aren't
really reflective of the actual 2011 BEC CPA exam.

That's why I was wondering if the BEC CPA exam and BEC
Becker Practice questions/material are pretty on the spot
with each other.

Once again, any input would be helpful, and any questions
you guys may have, I'd be happy to help with as well.

3CPATESTS,

I did not take BEC in 2011, however, I found that Becker
prepared me very well. The only difference this year is the
implementation of the written communication section, which,
after reading your posts, I think you will do fine on (at
least grammatically speaking :P ). I prepared for about 3
weeks, churning through questions as often as possible, and
I did better than I thought. If those scores are legit, I
think you're going to destroy BEC. Best of luck to you!
