Dear    RR_CPA

I can totally understand your situation , I had taken BEC once and scored a 74, have now taken it for the second time and am awaiting my result . While I was taking the exam I knew it was not cutting it for me , the questions seemed tougher and I was blanking out …when I took my first attempt I came out with a 74 but at least when I took the exam I knew I it was a good exam and I knew most of the stuff, this time I was like completely blank…So I am almost sure I won’t pass this time … I may actually get less than what I got last time ………….shall know in a couple of day s I guess ………….It is soo difficult to pull yourself together after a bad exam and study for it all over again.i also work 9 to 6 and can pack in only 3 hours on a weekeday and about 6-7 in the weekend . I used Becker , but this time I definitely want to try some other review materials if I don’t pass……Any suggestions ?

Try Yeager.  I took th exam last week and felt very well prepared.  They follow the Wiley book and tell you exactly what to study.  Don't waste your time and money on Becker.  I got a hold of their questions and found them to be overly complicated.  None of those questions appear in any of the three teslets.  Not enough time to deal with those complicated and wordy questions.

Good Luck!!

Sorry about the failed attempts. Word is around the board that people have used Roger's cram courses, I'd check it out! Good luck

Sorry for my late response.  Just got back into this now.  I am a Yeager student.  Yeager is a teaching-course.  A family owned business that pretty much runs the business like a family store.  You can pick up the phone and talk to the owner, Phil, when you are not clear on any given subject matter.   The best advice I can give you is to go on their website and see their videos and what they have to offer.  Basically they teach the course following the Wiley reference books, their DVD's (or USB memory sticks) and their own personal hand-outs.  There instructors are all university teachers.

I have been out of school for over 20 years.  I have passed two parts with Yeager so far and am now taking my third part, Regulation.

They are better priced than the competition and frankly they make the course fun and at times amusing.  This is my take and I can tell you that it has worked for me so far.  No course will guarantee success........success is determined by how much time and sacrifice you are willing to put into it.  You will hear pros and cons from all courses as this forum has taught me.  You just have to pick what you believe is right for you.

Good Luck!!!
