I also received a 71 on BEC.  I was hoping to pass of course, but the score is really around what I thought I would get.  The exam was pretty tough.  The first testlet was INSANELY difficult and I marked about half the questions for review.  (Sigh) Well, I just have to dust myself off again and continue in the battle.  Up next...... REG 2nd retake.  Good luck to all.

Ahhh, can definately feel your pain. what a co- incidence, it is like someone is writing about my situation. First time 71, second time 70 and now 73. Totally heartbroken and upset. Using becker and whiley, don't know what to do in this situation except crying.

Hi

It was my 3rd attempt for BEC, I was pretty much sure in 2nd attempt that I will pass but I faild at 73. First attempt I got 71, 2nd 73 and now again 71.

What do you think, where is the problem, is it just a luck factor or something is wrong with myself. Am I missing something in preparing BEC...I am using Becker + Wiley final review. I have spent a lot of time BEC already.

I am totally frustrated... any words....?

Try Exam-Matrix it worked for me and they will give you $$$ back if you don't pass.

I am really bummed.  I passed FAR and REG on first try and thought I had passed BEC with a better score than FAR or REG and was shocked that I ended up with a 73!!  That hurt!  Now I will have to cram for an early test in January and figure out the writing portion and changes for 2011.  They dropped the easy stuff Business Structures.  Becker does make things complicated.  I think I may have read to heavily on some of the exam questions and answered them wrong.  Ugghh.  Oh well...I am hitting the books again.

I wanted to say that the exam was NOT easy and was challenging, especially the tricks and turns they use in it. I thought the Becker material was Overkill, but I assume they want you ready for anything. I think some of the questions may be unfair to an avg candidate because I am well versed in Finance (work in field), and I knew several answers (even though maybe test questions) to questions I know 100% were not in Becker. Some of the questions were very str8 fwd and only needed simple computation. I think if you can nail down cold a few subjects like IT and economics you can get through. I was terrified of B5 and Becker made it so hard. It was a lot different on exam. All I would do in addition and be honest with yourself if you knew the material as well as you think. BEC is not a natural subject for accountants like the other 3 are, so it can give you a lot of trouble. I truly wish everyone better success round 2 or 3 and would say make sure to beat the material to death, know everything, know it well or even better then well. You have to really be over prepared for the exam to get through these in my opinion. I spent well over 100hrs on BEC and the last 5 days before exam spending 10hrs a day at it. This doesn't work for everyone, but if you think scores are luck you are wrong, there are several 50/50 questions on the exam, but you need to put in effort like never before to make it through. Good Luck, ask me any questions if anyone wants, I would be happy to discuss exam in general terms.
