I'm right there with some of you. I took BEC on 11/29 and felt pretty confident going in and coming out, but I apparently failed with a 70. However, rarely, did I just sit there without at least thinking I knew the answer to a question. I mean, I had to guess on some of the questions, but I felt like those instances were few and far between. I'm still shaking my head.

I had the same feelings as you all did.  I guessed at several questions because I found myself racing through the first two teslets so I wouldn't run out of time for the last teslet.  I found then that I had sufficient time in the last teslet and took my time with 20 minutes to spare.  I used that time to really go through the last teslet and ensure I had the right answers.  I must say that the first teslet was the hardest of the three and I really didn't have a good feeling once I continued.  Some of the questions were out of nowhere, especially on the IT side.

I was one of the fortunate though...........I passed with a 76.  It could have gone the opposite way though.  Hang in there.... I am sure you guys will nail it down this time around.   I studied like yourselves pretty hard.......left no stone unturned.  I guess sometimes you need a little luck.

I have had NO luck when it comes to the BEC exam...  I am totally distraught over this exam as I failed again with a 74!  I have the new 2011 material for Becker and have gone through Ch1 which is completely different (luckily I took and passed audit so I know a lot of the material already i.e. CRIME etc.)  I am halfway through Ch2 which is exactly the same.  I plan on taking the exam berfore the 15th of January as I will be working Saturday's and things will be getting hectic in the public accounting world.  Does anyone have any advice for me as I really need to get this part passed the next time I take it.  My friend gave me her old Wiley book from 2009 with questions...  Maybe the extra questions will help.  I did have quite a few questions on my exam that I have never seen before in Becker material or didn't know/learn how to do.  I am super stressed and just in a horrible mood this christmas season.  Please help!

We both have exactly same story.... your all words seems like coming from my heart....... :-).... I also have failed in BEC at 71,73 & 71. I also feel totally unluck with BEC.

But No Worries my friend.... just keep trying as I am doing.... it will payoff all of us...

I am not afraid to fail but I am afraid not to try.... :-) smile and start with new motivatation with New Year. You are almost there.

Hi everyone, I totally feel your pain too.  I studied for 6 weeks, and worked on all my Kaplan questions twice (800+), just to make sure I understood the concepts.  There were about 10-15 questions on the exam concentrating on a couple of topics in fin mgt that I had no clue how to answer because my material did not cover the topics in detail or at all.  After I left the exam, I felt I had a slight chance of passing because I felt I did well on the other questions, but I ended up with a 74.  I think with BEC, you either get an exam that works for you or works against you.  Don't forget that pre-test questions could be any question, even the easy ones.  This is why people who thought they got high 90's ended up with low 80's.  I know going over the kaplan questions 500x over is not going to do much for my next try so I purchased the Gleim book and q-bank.  I know Gleim goes way overboard with BEC, but the extra tough questions might give me an edge.  We shall see.  Good luck everyone!
