Since it helped me cope with the waiting process, I wanted to post my timeline of licensure. I passed my last exam in the July/August testing window so it seems to have taken much less time for the entire process than for previous posters. My theory is that usually most CPA exam sections are taken in the 4th quarter of the year and so the state is inundated with licensure applications in January, so it takes ~2 months then. Since I mailed in my packet on October 9th, it has been exactly 2 weeks. Horray, it is finally over!
9/24/09 - Received passing score
9/26/09 - Received licensure application packet
10/9/09 - Mailed out completed packet to TSBPA via certified mail
10/10/09 - Per USPS, TSBPA received packet
10/16/09 - Overall status: CPA certification in process; Certificate fee received: 0005000; Date fee received: 10/13/2009
- Email received f/ John Kayes @ TSBPA: We are okaying you for the license now. Thanks, John
10/20/09 - Ethics hours: 4; Date ethics hours processed: 9/2/09; Months of public experience: 26; Score on the exam on the rules of professional conduct: 092
10/22/09 - Name shows up under Individual Licensee lookup on TSBPA website; CPA Candidate login closed, CPA Licensee login opened; received CPA certification letter via email and paid $250 fee online.
10/23/09 - Licensee status changed to "Issued"
