I received my online score that I passed the last section of the CPA Exam on December 22.  I mailed some of these things back on Dec. 23.  Then, on December 29, I got a huge yellow envelope from TSBPA with the following:
  1. 25 Question Exam on TX Rules of Professional Conduct
  2. Application for Licensure
  3. Congratulatory Letter
  4. Work Experience forms
  5. Oath of Office form
I sent it all back on Jan. 2 (Next Day Air, Certified, Return Receipt Requested).  Here is what I sent back to Austin:
  1. Completed Exam on TX Rules of Prof. Conduct
  2. Completed Application for Licensure
  3. Work Experience forms (copies; I sent originals on Dec. 22)
  4. Certificate for 4-hrs Ethics CPE (copy; I sent original on Dec. 22)
  5. Notarized Oath of Office
  6. Statement explaining I sent $50 on Dec. 22 for Cert. Fee
Now I am waiting to see how long it will take them to process.  I am guessing 2-3 weeks, but who knows.

Ok, the TX Board sucks.  They signed to receive the packages I sent, but that is it.  Nothing has been posted- accepted work experience, fulfillment of 4-hr. ethics, score on the professional conduct exam- on their website as of this morning.

Please don't make me wait to be licensed for as long as I had to wait for exam results.

I sent mine on 12/24.  On 1/5 it posted that they received $50 on 1/2, but nothing since.

I have failed the code of professional conduct (take home test) twice now.  Really frustrating, I highlighted my answers in the text, wrote the page number, and still got a 78%.

Anyone else having to deal with this.  What I don't understand is how I got a 78% on a 25 question MQC test.  That isn't even a round number.

On top of that, they sent me more work exp. paperwork to fill out. Which doesn't make sense either.  How do I have the appr. paperwork the first time, but not the second.

Anyone? Frustrated. (and not feeling so proud about failing, twice.)

Here is my situation:

They returned everything I sent on Dec. 23 (see other message) with a note saying "omitted application".  Their letter also says that my application for license is "denied" and I have 5 days to meet their requirements and respond.

WTF is that?  You can't give me 5 days to do anything.  I have 30 days to respond to Board messages, but I could wait 10 years, if I wanted, after passing the exam to send in all of the stuff qualifying me for a license, so don't give me that crap.

Anyways, I am just waiting until they confirm receipt, or mail back, the stuff I sent on Jan. 2.
