So I don't know what I'm doing wrong exactly, but I'm
having a hard time finding the correct IRC section in the
Reg sims for the research questions.

I took AUD in July, and passed with a 93 (woot!), and
those research questions were gimmes. I'm doing very
well on my progress tests (93-98%) but I am struggling
with the research questions. I understand them, know the
proper tax treatment, but despite trying a dozen
different keywords, I only seem to find the correct code
section 1/2 of the time, and I know what I'm looking for.
I'm at the point where I may just 'eat' those points, but
it seems like a waste.

Is the Becker research Q's functionality different for
Regs than Aud, or is it just that the Regs database
stinks? If it's farming or something, it's easy as there
is very little to find.

I've even tried searching by TOC after striking out with
keywords, and eventually hit a wrong path and Becker was
like 'Don't use the TOC, use keywords.'

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks & GL!

usually I use either same words that they use in the
question or if the words are not clear than I read the
question and ask myself: what is the content of this
question? For instance I remember doing one of the research
question that talked about accumulated earnings tax. In the
question they talked around it but never mentioned
"accumulated earnings tax" but after I read it, I knew
that's what they were talking about. I put in "accumulated
earnings" and there was the answer. That's my strategy,
either use their own words or if they don't use specific
tax related words then understand what they want from you
and you use the tax specific words.
