I'm at a point where I'm trying to decide on a career and three offers have appeared...I'll provide some info on each and let me know what you would choose:

1) Public accounting - staff accountant at a regional firm in Florida at approx. 55 k a year.  (60 hours a week of work expected)

2) Federal Govt - FBI position at 52 k a year in DC (40-50) hours a week expected.

3) Disaster Management - high tech company providing a supporting role in disasters, approx. 100k a yr - but also a minimum of 84 hrs a week(often 100+ hours) with no days off during disasters. Also uncertain long term work because work depends on the nature of disasters. Between disasters pay will go way down. (50k/yr)

Once I make a decision I can't go back and pick another. Also keep in mind I am halfway done with my CPA exam and because of the positions I would start in, I would not receive the experience required to obtain a CPA license in the FBI job or the Disaster management job.

I know it's up to me, but what would you do in this position?

FBI would be a waste of my Masters if I couldn't get my CPA (in my opinion).

Disaster Mgt. seems like an exciting and high-paced job that can build some real useful skills.

PA of course is more geared towards your major/field of study.By the way, who said 60 hrs/week? Is that during busy season or year round?

If you want CPA ---> PA firm
If you want some interesting experiences ----> Disaster Mgt.
If you want to make a career of the FBI -----> FBI

Those would be my choices anyways...All three choices seem like a rich career. Though disaster mgt. might be more volatile.

They all seem like great opportunities.

FBI. You will be unemployed for long periods if you don't. It's a no brainer.
