Hi,

I have passed all the CPA examinations from Colorado State in 2008. I have a BCOM and MBA finance from India. I got my education evaluated here and they gave me a US equivalent Masters. My question is about obtaining a  license. Do you think I can get the license by applying under EDUCATION IN LIEU OF EXPERIENCE?
The other option is to gain work experience under a CPA for one year and for that I need an EAD. I am currently on H4 visa and I stay in MI.

Please advice!!

Thanks.

hello struggler,

you should check out the next page with Topic: Education in lieu of experience started by Arati where lots of post are there which will able to answer your question. However, I think if your evaluation report states that you are having more than 150 credits & also fulfill the credit requirement for individual course of accounting & others then you should be fine.

I am in the process, actually I have already applied for the license under Rule 2.5 (i.e. education in lieu of experience) after passing the AICPA Ethics test (which is very simple, just a repeatation of cpa liabilities & responsibilities that was covered under regulation). I am a M.com from india. will keep u updated from my side about my licensing processes.
