OK, so my Becker is about to expire, and I will need it
for my last section (FAR). I've been somewhat successful
with Becker (77 - BEC, 76 - REG, 70 - AUD and will retake
next month), however I'm considering Yaeger for FAR. I
like Becker's program just fine, however I've heard that
Yaeger's professors can be more engaging and effective
(great when you have ADD). I'm also starting to get fed
up with Becker's license agreement....why is it their
business if I couldn't complete all 4 courses in 12
months?! I had life situations to deal with! If I pay
for a course, I think that getting to keep the materials
until I pass isn't too much to ask.
My main concern with switching to Yaeger is potential
loss of good supplemental materials with Becker. Here is
what I like about Becker:
-Diagnostic tests (100 MCQ tests that highlight your
weaknesses)
-Their books aren't extremely overwhelming...seem very
well outlined and don't give way more info than you need.
-Pre-highlighted e-books that highlight the main points,
pass keys, etc.
-Notes for each chapter that highlight the main points.
Long story short, note-taking is a challenge of mine due
to ADD and visual/auditory processing difficulties.
Would I be losing this with Yaeger? I'm just nervous
about getting lost in the Wiley books.
On a sidenote, I LOVE the idea of the myYaegar portal...I
hate dragging my massive laptop with me to study Becker
software, and would love to just use my iPhone to watch
videos.
Thanks!

I have no experience with Becker...only used Yaeger, with the Wiley book and test questions. I credit Phil Yaeger for getting me through pensions. But I also took a fair amount of notes. Yaeger gives you some notes, but it helps to supplement them. Bottom line is Yaeger worked for me. Good Luck!

With Yaeger you get the video lecture, practice software with practice
tests and diagnostic reports to track your success. We do not want you
to read the text cover to cover. We lead you through showing you what
you need to know. By following the program, you will learn what you
need to know to pass...and as mentioned nothing out there compares
to our MyYaeger portal.
As always please free to give us a call at 1-800-824-2811 to discuss
the many ways Yaeger can help!
Good luck!
