Hmmmm what to do? I failed FAR with a 60. Now I will def loose REG because there is no way I can pass 3 parts by May (my tax season starts Mid Jan) My question is I would like to take a part by no later than beginning of Feb, should I attempt FAR again (maybe by using Yaeger cram) Should I move to another part like AUD? which is smaller??

I would get FAR knocked down first.  For one, you've already started studying for it.  But besides that, there is way more material in FAR to cover and as a result it takes much more prep time than AUD, IMO.

I  failed the test in november.  My test is february 26.  I am going to start reviewing february 6 for it.  I just finished the becker class for the second time.  However, I have not been reviewing bc I got tax February 5.  I am going 2 start with the becker final review and use that as the strating point.  Does this sound like a good idea?  Does far have the 9 sims?  Last exam I had nine little sims?  Thank you

Let's assume that I smoked dope all the way through college 30 years ago, but managed to pass with a 2.6 GPA (thank God for internships), but now I want to be a CPA (yes, I could be your father).

I still remember that debits are on the left and credits are on the right.  All this is an exaggeration (but with some truth).

Using CPA review material and maybe some supplements (but no college classes) what kind of a study plan would you recommend?

Now I'm really, really serious about passing and have an 8/30 FAR date. You can pass the CPA exam, but can you coach a slacker?  Any takers?  Or is everyone busy doing taxes?

Well, I'm only 10 years out of school, but I went back for an accounting degree so I'm not too much younger than you are.  Things have really changed in the past 10 years, let alone 30.  The biggest thing is to put in the time and really organize yourself as far as time goes.  You'll need to be disciplined about study time.

The worst thing (at our age) is remembering what you study, but if you keep going over it and over it, it will eventually stick.  And, if you start studying too far out, you will get so sick of it all that you might lose your momentum as well.
