I am only using Becker books no final review or flashcards and I am doing well so far.  I think its just a waste of money to buy the other things especially flashcards.  Make your own they will be better.  Hope that helps.

Have you taken any part of the exam yet? I would like to start but have been considering using Kaplan. How is Becker?

Hi y'all!

Could someone kindly explain to me what the difference is between the Becker online, live and Self study?  My firm pays for Becker and I cannot make up my mind which one to choose.  Please tell me your experiences.  Thanks!!

The live version is going to a somewhere and sitting in a classroom with an instructor.  I was told all you do is watch the CDs anywise so its not a real big help.

I have done self study for REG and will be doing it for BEC.  You get the CD and book and just work at your own pace.

I have done internet classes, FAR & AUD.  You have a timely usually two chapters a weeks.  Watch the same CDS, same homework question plus extra quizzes & discussion.

Really it depends on you, if you can studying without being put on a timeline self study is good.  If you need a timeline then internet.  If you need human interaction then live.  They all have the same CD lectures & multiple choice questions & simulations.

Hope that helps.

Thanks kc.  When you say say timeline what do you mean?  Does Becker recommend how long you study for each part?

I think I might need some motivation to study as I tried self study with Gleim and it did not work! I think it was just lazy me anyway!!
