From the people who I started with a few years back that did the mentoring program, they said their entire class got in. So your chances should be pretty good. I'm not too sure about activities, they will probally make you guys visist offices. I know you shadow some people for a while, and then boom you be yourself and you should be just fine. I"m not sure about the evaluation, but I know these things tend to be pretty informal.

Thank you for the replying MrCpaguy.You mean that I have high possibilities to get in the offer from this mentor program. I think you pretty well understand the hire processes of Big 4 in NYC area. I am a senior now and am applying for graduate school next semester. Which school do you think have most chances to get an interview from Big 4s in NYC? SUNY Buffalo, SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Binghampton, SUNY Albany, U of Rochester, Syracuse, CUNY Baruch, So on. I am studying in upstate NY, and now sure about other schools. Could you recommend any school that good for getting a chance to have an interview with Big 4 in NYC? It is okay schools in other states, too. I don't care about the location as long as I have good chances. Thank you!

I have same situation. I got the tax mentor program at Deloitte NY office for summer 2012, and I want to know how can I work toward getting a full-time offer? I have asked my friends participating in the program in NJ office for audit practice. She ended up getting the full-time offer the following summer. Another of my friends who did tax internship says we have to apply for full-time position separately.

My friends were in the north jersey office. You should be fine after the mentoring program. :)
