For me BEC scared me to death.. because I am successful at SIMS writing and research are up my alley... I felt like I needed the SIMS to pull up my grade. And the multis can be so random. I really feel in general there is some luck of the draw on what multis you get. You can study and memorize so many items and you won't get one single question on those items. In general I feel like my scores really reflected the amount of time I spent studying among the parts. I studied so much for auditing it was my first part and I had no idea what to expect. I was terrified and thought I could only hold myself and lack of studying responsible if I failed. In summary... here is my advice. 1. Take the part you are most comfiortable with (material wise) first. 2. Have a study buddy (but make sure they are not a slacker) and set up a day 1 to test day schedule; then follow it... quiz each other over and over, make flash cards create acronyms.. they are such a valuable tool. 3. Do 100 multis a day. I used the Gleim question CD on my laptop every chance I could get (even if I only had time to do 5 questions)... there are like 2000+ questions for each part... trust me you get to the point where you don't even have to read the entire question, and you know the answer... that is when you are ready to take the exam. It really prepares you for how to RTFQ. RTFQ is so important....Finally on test day... budget your time on paper... write out notes to yourself before you begin the exam in the blue book, so you can get off your mind any last minute thing you just crammed in the parking lot... and maintain your composure.
