After it's all said and done - all I can say is each test seems to test something different... it's almost like the ACT...

Audit is like a reading test... You have to catch every word...
Reg is a time test... It's about how quick you can solve what you're given... It's also not the "normal" accounting material...
FAR is a knowledge test... You gotta be a book...
BEC may be the basic accountant test... Nothing too difficult...

Difficulty will probably depend on what subjects and talents fit your background. My order of difficulty is reflected above.

I think you have to break it out by the following:

Hardest to Prepare for:

1) FAR

2) REG

3) BEC

4) AUD

Hardest Exam:

1) REG

2) FAR

3) AUD

4) BEC

For me FAR was the hardest. It took me over a year to pass it and I eventually lost REG because it took me so long. I passed REG twice so I did not have as hard of a time with it.

1) FAR

2) REG

3) AUD

4) BEC

the hardest part is really subjective to what interests you more, what field you work in, and what is easier for you to study

my list is:
REG- im not much of a tax person

FAR-a lot of information so it's just a matter of getting through it all

AUD- i liked studying for this compared to the other exams

BEC-it does include a lot of material but the material is not that detailed so it wasn't bad for me
