Do you think that they would've allowed you to take the exam if they cared about credit reports?

I've heard that the government and some companies check your credit report when they are hiring you to determine whether you would be at risk for stealing money. But once you pass the exam you can be your own company and decide whether or not you want to hire or fire yourself because you didn't pay a bill. I think the important question to ask yourself is "Can I trust myself not to steal from myself?".
