Hi,
I took and passed the four parts of the CPA exam as a CO candidate and also passed the ethics exam.
I have one year of US accounting experience (General Ledger, Month end close) in a corporation NOT a CPA firm (In Georgia). My supervisor is an active licensed CPA.
Prior to that I had 3 years of General Ledger accounting experience again in a corporation from New Zealand where I worked under an active NZ Chartered Accountant.
I used the NZ experience to apply for Licensure and was told by the CO co-ordinator to use 4.1c as the experience form. However, my application was denied because Rule 4.1c requires us to work at least 1,800 hours for an entity other than where the experience has been gained.
I would like to re-apply using my corporation experience in the US. Can anyone please advise which rule can I use for corporation experience (4.1 D?). Can anyone who got their CO CPA license using experience from a finance division of a corporation as opposed to a CPA firm please share their experience on which rule did they use?
Thanks,
