I believe once you become a member, your name appears on a general roster, so you won't have to pledge again. As far as connections/networking opportunities, I guess it really depends what area you're in. If you go to a college that's in a metro area, then yes - the recruiters would be looking to hire for that area. If you go to a college that's in a small little college town, the range may be greater.
It's easier to join BAP in grad school because the entry requirements are a bit more lax (i.e. no GPA requirement). I would think it would be better though to join as soon as you can just to get seasoned with the organization and have the opportunity to obtain an officer position as well as partake in multiple events that could help out your resume. |

My school had the same GPA requirements to join BAP in graduate school as undergrad. |

The rules could vary by chapter. Here at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, there is no GPA requirement for grad students. I don't know what the full reasoning behind that is. I think they figure that if you can get into the grad accounting program at UCF and stay in it, you should have a sufficient GPA for BAP. |

For sure. At the school I went to, if your GPA drops below 3.0 you get kicked out of the MAcc program either way, so I guess that kind of makes sense.

I'm an officer in BAP at my campus. Two words that sum up membership: FACE TIME. Other than that it looks great on your resume.

At my school BAP members get their own recruiting events
that regular students can't attend. Oh...and more face time

Make sure you join BAP. Recruiters see the members of BAP as your
school's brightest, and it WILL help you get interviews. Its not just a
snobby club, its super important.
