I'm preparing for BEC for the FOURTH time.  The first time I got a 67.  Then a 61.  Then a 73.  I feel like I'm never going to pass this test!  When my boss asks what exam I'm studying for I hate to tell him Business Environment Concepts.  What is so hard about these concepts???

I passed Auditing last January which got the clock ticking.  I've got until July 31 to pass 3 more tests.  (I failed Reg in Nov) I guess I'm just really feeling the pressure, yet I'm so tired of dishing out the money for these tests!

I just feel like a dumbbutt for failing over and over and over.... hopefully hanging out here a little more will let me not be so alone in this battle!

Hi Murphy,

I am sorry that you failed BEC so many times. There are a bunch of guys who has failed so many times here, but they aren't discourage. You can't loose hope or focus. There's someone here by the name "slavetobecker" , judging by the name you can tell that he has failed several times. He still posts here and I admire him/her for that.

Maybe you should change the review material that you are using. I felt BEcker was good enough for me, but i was very impressed when i practice some Q's using Gleim online. I didn't like the lecture part of Gleim, but I'm enthusiastic about lecture portion of Becker. Sometimes a mix of materials may give you the edge. 73?????????????? that's the score i got for far after 1 1/2 month of studying. So i know how painful that score is. Hopefully the next time will be better.

I am trully sorry, but you are not alone.

Best of luck

murpy.  I scored a 73 in audit THREE TIMES.  I finally passed on my 4th attempt.

My BEC scores were 60 and then a 70.  I just took it my third time in January and will be devestated if I don't pass.

My FARE scores were 50 and 67.  I am taking it again in a few weeks.

My Regulation score was a 68.

I think there were even a couple other attempts in there at random times, but I can't remember the scores.  I have used Becker, Wiley, and Gleim.

I am honestly not sure my problem at this point, but I can say that I feel your pain.

Good luck!

Thanks guys.  I'm just frustrated...as it sounds like we all are.  I've been dealing with this exam for most of the last 7 years-- whether it's getting the 9 additional elective credits I failed to graduate with, postponing because of time or money issues, fail BEC, fail BEC, passed audit somehow on the first shot, fail REG, fail BEC again...

I see people here who have passed all 4 parts in the time it takes me to study for one and I just feel dumb.  I work 40 hours a week now (used to be closer to 70), so I think I am finally on track to get this knocked out once and for all!

Good luck to us!

I have to say that you are not alone in this fight. I took BEC so far three times. First score is 69 second score is 74, yes 74, can you imagine missing by 1 point. the examiners have no mercy. now I took the exam again and waiting nervousely for the result. when I got my first score of 69, I was disappointed and when I got the second score of 74, I almost fainted. God help me pass this for the third time. I  have studied as much as I possibly can. The BEC section is quite a challenge for me. I think because it has 5 different areas, each of the areas are completely different from real accounting. I mean economic theories, business structure, and ITS oh boy that is very challenging. ITS especialy has a lot of question that are as hard as a curve ball. Good Luck to everybody and please know that a lot of us have these similar experiences but we will keep trying and we ewill not give up and hopefuly a bit of luck will help us through this.
