So I thought I was eligible for the exam.  150 credits, 30 in accounting, I'd already purchased my Becker CPA review software and have been studying for the past month for auditing.  I just received what I thought was going to be my NTS, only to find out that I somehow ended up with 29 hours of accounting (not going to bore you with details, but lets just say its REALLY annoying).

They wont accept internship credits so I am forced to go back to school.  The problem is I had this schedule of taking the exam all planned out.  However in NC you can sign up and sit for the exam as long as you fulfill the requirements within 120 days of when you send in your application.

Does anybody know a way that I can 1 ACC credit within the next 4 months?  I don't know a lot about online course taking, and my local community college is only offering fall classes that don't end until December so I wouldn't be able to start test taking until late August.  Please please please get back to me if you know anything about this.  Email is dwells6717@gmail.com

Why can't you just take a summer class somewhere?  I'm in NC also.  Have you tried looking into East Carolina's online courses?  I know a guy who got his masters degree by taking all online courses there.  He had to study and do the homework on his own and then go to the campus to take exams.  Surely you can find a summer class somewhere to get your 1 credit hour.

I've never heard of a 1 credit hour course for accounting.  Most likely, you will have to take a 3 credit hour course.  I had a similar problem and the course I chose actually ended up helping me for the AUD exam and my current job.  When something like this happens, it's usually a blessing.   Maybe it can go toward an MBA later.  It can be annoying, but try to think of this as an opportunity to learn something new and go from there.
