Couple questions...
1, Do you think putting your CPA exam scores on your resume is a good idea?
2. I am a partner in a small business (unrelated to accounting), where I'm basically the CFO. It's not a full-time job (basically weekends), but I do have a lot of responsibility in keeping the books, filing the tax return (1065), sales tax returns, making decisions with my partners, and basically doing all other tasks involved in being a business owner. Do you think its good idea to put this on a resume? How would a recruiter at the big4 perceive that, considering I'm going to continue to work at my business whilst I work at their firm?

1) No. Its one thing to have your accomplishments noticed by the hiring manager but its another to blatantly boast about it (If you have great scores that is).
2) I'm not sure if you want to tell a recruiter at a Big 4 firm that you'll continue your work for your other company while you work for them. They'll definitely want you to concentrate on their work and might feel that having this other job might take away from that. Besides, a lot of firms will have you work on the weekends during busy season.
3) Also, I know you didn't ask this question but I wouldn't put the title of CFO for your company on your resume nor would I tell the recruiter that you're part owner of the company.

-the only meaning cpa scores have is pass or fail no one cares if you get all 75s or all 99s. you can mention you passed X sections in your cover letter and maybe write "CPA Candidate" on the resume if you passed all 4 parts and only need the work experience
-most employers require you to sign a waiver stating you will not have a second job.

I thought as much about the #2...Thanks. Yeah, I think it would be a little pointless telling them your scores on resume.
