I took the BEC section on 8/26/08 and I just got the grade letter indicating that I failed this section with a 74 =(

I was wondering if any of you guys have tried the appeal or re-score process. I am really sad and frustrated at failing with a 74 (So close!!! just one more point)

I am thinking on appealing or doing something. It just feels so bad to have to repay and re-study for one little point!!!

Help Please!

(BTW: I am in NY)

I have never heard of anyone getting their score changed.  The exams that are close to 75 have already gone through a review process.  You will waste your time and money requesting a re-score.

Start studying as soon as possible.  You can easily raise your score.

I would retake ASAP and hope for a better score. You will feel better once you pass. Do you really want to spend money and emotion to wait for a re score that would almost certainly be the same?

hate to break the news but if ny has the 18 month window rule, you are going to lose credit for your AUD score if you took it in 4/2007 and dont plan to take reg and fin until 2009.

Thank you for your responses

After this post I calmed down and made a new study plan. My plan is to take BEC in October and Auditing in November (I was aware that I was going to lose auditing) and then concentrate on 2009 for REG and FAR

For me it feels like a new start and I hope to do much better this time.

I think I just needed to vent out to clear my head. Thank you for your support!!!
