Does anyone know how long it takes the CA board to review CPA License applications? I got the letter saying that they received my application, so how long before I actually get my license (I sent in all of the required forms and $$$)?

About 5 weeks after you receive that letter you will receive a post-card that you have to fill out and send back (assuming no issues come up with your application). Around 2 weeks after that you will receive the returned post-card with your license number and the wallet card. You are now a CPA, GRATZ!! Then about a week after that they will send you a certificate.
A co-worker that has an adjacent cubicle just went through this process as will I once I have my general experience done in Jan.
