did it take awhile for the FAR section to 'click' again in your head before you could really work the problems?

It's been awhile since I have had to work on half of this stuff and I am getting alittle nervous reviewing the material...I may need to give myself more time to study than I orginally thought.

I don't know if things ever completely click with FAR. It would take literally forever to master everything tested. I am in the final stretch of my Masters of Accountancy at a good school and there are so many things that seem new or different than I remembered them from my Accounting Courses. Many of my professors actually used CPA Exam Questions for the Multiple choice questions on our exams and I still feel like I learn something new every time I sit down to review a section.

I agree with Jerod!  You will never master everything in FAR......too much to remember, but my advice is to be comfortable with the heavy hitting areas and be familiar with the rest so when I question pops up that you aren't 100% sure about, you won't freak out come test time.  Govt and NFP helped me TREMENDOUSLY because I was weaker in the other areas.  That is the only way I barely passed.

GOOD LUCK!

Agree, I would say study EVERYTHING and try to master some heavily tested areas because that would help you when comparing "weaker" or "stronger" to other candidates. I knew a little bit of everything and althought I have not received my score yet I am not very hopeful because I think I will be weaker in everything :/ ..

I used Becker - everything Becker says "heavily" tested, master it!! (consolidations, stockholder's equity- EPS,financial instruments, SCF, bonds, leases, I/S presentation and do NOT skip gorvenmental if you do not want to get in trouble like I did).

Good luck!!
