Hi everyone,

I know this question has been asked before but I seriously curious. I am planning ot take BEC in August and I am trying to sstudy; but, I am having a little bit of a hard time following Kaplan. Has anyone else used this material and passed or can you PLEASE suggest something else to suppliment it. I can't really afford Becker but if that is the final option then so be it. I am thinking about getting Wiley and I found my old cost accounting book. But is there something else that I can use. Please help.

Thanks.

PS: This is my first exam so I am trying to make sure I find the right materials early so that I can get used to it and move on.

Is the material not doing well for you, or are you not studying it hard enough?
If the problem is the former, then get some new materials. If cost is an issue I'd look at several different options. Yaeger is one alternative which costs less than Becker. If cost is a REAL issue and self study is more your thing, take a look at Gleim, Wiley, or CPAExcel. Given that you're taking the exam next month you'd probably want to move fast in evaluating your alternatives.
If the problem is you're not studying hard enough, then do what you have to do to study harder. You're not going to pass if you don't study hard no matter what review materials you use.
Oh, and don't touch that cost accounting textbook. There's too much material in there which you won't be tested on.

I recommend the Wiley books or Gleim Test Prep (mc questions) for supplements.
