I checked the Texas State Board of Accountancy website today and it's official. I am a licensed CPA! Wow, saying that feels so incredible. It was amazing to say that I passed all parts to the CPA exam, but now I can say that I am a CPA. For all of you in Texas waiting on your last exam, this is what you can expect when you pass. I got a package mailed to me about two days after finding out about my score and it included a congratulatory letter and then information on a series of additional requirements. There is a 4-hour ethics course that is required including an ethics test. Then you also take a Rules of Conduct test. After these are submitted along with a fee and verification on employment, you are very close to being finished. I submitted my application for licensing exactly one week from the date I found out I passed FAR. Then exactly three weeks later I found out that I am fully licensed. The State Board posted that I have met the requirements of licensing and then after I paid a fee I became licensed. Good luck to all of you out there who share the same goal. It's incredible to be at the place I am now. It's worth all the pains you go through!
