If i pass uniform CPA exam from one state (say colorado) but work as employee in other state (say New York) then

Does that work experience in New York help me obtain CPA licensure in Colorado?

Yes, as long as the work is relevant and under an active CPA.

Many states accept work experience gained in prior years.
For example, if your boss had an active license between 2005-2007 and you worked under him, then it will be accepted.

What happens if that's not the case? Meaning I started working udner him when he's already inactive? Does that mean I have to get a new job under an active CPA in order to get my license?
