I need some advice... I graduated 04 and worked in private business for almost 3 years and I decide I have to go to public accounting firm, I thought I was lucky enough to get into a CPA office on dec 07 in NYC. but I only got offer for 45k, 5 pay day off and 5 national holiday. [ so I have to work on labor day :( ] I have been working in here for almost 2 years without a raise and bonus... Does this sound not fair or it is reasonable since economy suck ? This is a family business, we have only 5 people in this company, 2 are part time, my boss's family members. I am thinking I may want to find another CPA firm, because I want to move on to the next higher level... but as I read through post in this forum i dont know if i have chance to find something good . :( Please feel free to give any comment

Words of advice from a person who has been through hell:
Be grateful for what you have now. There are people who have absolutely no job and would kill to have what you have. Actually, they have killed....themselves. Your time will come when you will get something more but you have to be happy with what you have first.
Ever heard of that old saying, "Beggers can't be choosers." That holds true in today's economy.
My salary is low for the position I have but I am darn tootin' grateful to have it because I know I will be getting killer raises in the future.
