Nope, I would not put MBA behind my name. It's douchey to say the least. Professional certifications are fine. A CPA is a CPA. We basically have to pass the same exam (same level of difficulty). It's pretty much standardized. Same is true for CFA, CMA, CIA etc. An MBA degree from Harvard  is not comparable to an MBA degree from Rutgers. Just my two cents.

Damn RAIN! What do you have against good 'ole Rutgers! Lol! An MBA from Rutgers may not mean much to a firm in Cali but on the East Coast it does! Shouldn't be discredited at all since it's one of the most respected MBAs you can get in the state of New  Jersey. If you want to put the MBA designation next to your name go right ahead - you EARNED it.

I disagree. If you earned the certification, you earned the certification. The more alphabet soup behind your name, the better, and if you earned your MBA, you're a damn MBA, regardless of institution. Let the employer decide what it's worth.
