What's a good "stand alone" payroll program? Intuit QuickPayroll is being discontinued as of 1-1-10. I'm looking for in-house processing, not an over-the-internet payroll service.

I've been preparing payrolls for 20 years, it's not difficult to me. However, software programs sort of come and go.

I'm going to give AME payroll a try, it has a 30 day right to return.

Here is Intuit's FAQ on the QuickPayroll discontinuation: http://payroll.intuit.com/support/kb/kbitem/1012532.html

They suggest QuickBooks Basic Payroll or Inuit Online Payroll Basic.
