If you had to pitch a CPA career to someone how would you do it? What would you say? I think I could pitch many careers, but with this one I am just drawing a blank. I'm just wondering if there is something I'm missing that I should be reminded of.

Well first off, I would start by talking about how
rewarding the career field is. Alot of people have misconceptions about the field, mainly the social
interaction part of the industry. You'll heard this all the
time, "Oh you crunch the numbers all day." as if you never
talk to anyone. In reality, accounting involves alot of
social interaction with clients and coworkers.

Talk about how you give critical information to clients on
how they should structure their business so on so forth.

The CPA license also opens up many opportunities outside and unrelated to public accounting.  I'm still trying to figure out exactly what and which I would qualify for, but I remember when I was in school not long ago, many different organizations, including the FBI and CIA, gave some recruiting presentations, saying that they hire CPAs.

Think they only take people in their late 20's.
