Hi all,
I am planning to take FAR at the very end of Feb 2010; I plan to study 3
hours/day for all weekdays and 8 hour/day for weekend. That total to about
427 hours.
I am working full time, having a family, and studying for this beast.
Do you think this is a good budget? What about you? Please share. Thanks!

This is a very good budget! I guess your scores show that you have been investing good number of hours for all your previous exams as well. I don't work yet i spent lesser time for FAR. Just finished with this exam 2 days ago (21st). Hats off to you if you manage to pull off so much time. Good luck :) Becker materials are awesome. Very close to the actual exam.... By the way, i am planning to take up REG next sometime after mid-Jan. Do you think 1.5-2 months should be good enough??

Thank you for your kind words. 1.5-2 months definitely should be
enough for REG, especially true if you put in 4-5 hours a day. Becker is
great for REG as well; if you master Becker's material, REG won't be a
problem. Did you find Becker's material harder than the actual exam? I
found that true for REG actually.

Yup, Becker questions are harder than actual exam. Most of them are
quite similar compared to the exam. Of course, numbers are different. I
can say atleast 80-85% of the MCQ's looked very familiar. Others were
totally unseen by me anywhere, including in Gleim & Wiley. I guess
Becker is very much dependable, plus solving more number of questions
outside of Becker is also an added advantage. If you are planning to
study for 400 hrs, look at Wiley too for some more questions. I have
seen the 2008 questions posted somewhere online. There is another link
which you may wanna use
(http://www.cpareviewforfree.com/exams.cfm?name=browse) . 2008 updated
but very very tough questions. Don't wish for a high score coz its
really tough. I was blown out by this. Both are good and you may ignore
the non-updated topics. Its been just a day after FAR & i don't
feel like studying for the next one now. Laziness has set it :) But i
am still deciding between REG & BEC. Need to schedule one each in
Jan & Feb...
