Okay, this may sound like a stupid question but I'm going to ask it since I can't figure it out.  If I need proof of passing the CPA sent directly to a third party (i.e. a school, employer, etc) who would be the one sending it... (1) AICPA (2) NASBA (3) My State or (4) someone else entirely?

Amazing how many folks a test needs to pass through now that I'm thinking about it.

Most cases its the State board. However, in some case like Delaware its NASBA.

My employer required proof that I passed a section of the exam.  I just made of copy of the letter sent to me saying that I passed.

I don't think NASBA will take time out of their "busy" schedules to send the proof for you.

Taken from the Delaware Board of Accountancy

http://dpr.delaware.gov/boards/accountancy/CpaExamination.sh tml

"Effective March 1, 2008, the Division of Professional Regulation provides verification of your Accountancy CPA Exam Scores only if you hold a Delaware CPA Certificate or Permit. If you do not hold a Delaware CPA Certificate or Permit, you must submit a request for verification of your scores to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) at mshin@nasba.org . For more information, contact NASBA by email or (615) 880-4263."
