I passed the CPA exam right out of college and I'm waiting for the year of work experience.

Right now I am 6 months into my full time job and had a 3 month internship.

What is the equivalent of full time work experience? like what do they consider a year experience in hours? I ask because i was wondering how part time jobs and stuff are added to this 1 year requirement.

I live in illinois and its impossible to contact the people who register CPAs to ask them. Wanted to see if anyone else had this question answered.

Certain states do specify hour requirements but in NJ, they require 1 year of public or private accounting experience. It can be 6 months in 1 company and  six months in another company. Check the Illinois requiremnets, if it does not say hours, then you can include your 3 months internship.
