Can you explain the NIU CPA correspondence Review?? Did you use this study material for all three sections? Which section did you take 1st?

I have used the NIU review for all sections and have only good things to say about it.

Northern Illinois University (NIU) CPA Review Program http://www.cpareview.niu.edu/index.asp . Live classes are held throughout the year and recorded to be used for correspondence candidates. The Review instructors (all are Phd's and/or University Professors) write the material following the guidelines set by the AICPA. The instructors are also very accessible for questions regarding the material, either through e-mail or by telephone. I have looked at other review providers and this is by far the most comprehensive material, the Director keeps the material very focused.

The written material includes recently released questions and the website offers additional quizzes. They also recomend Gleim software for additional practice.

Thanks bsterly!!

Thanks for the website. I'm really thinking about enrolling into the NIU correspondence courses in Jan 2010. However, could you give me more details about your own personal experience.

Did their customized mateiral(workbook) prepare you for the exam? Do you feel that you was well prepared? Did they place emphasis on heavily tested topics?

How did you use the material (i.e. listen to the lecture then do the related homework?)

Does their material expire?

Did someone assist you with creating a personal study plan?

When did you enroll and which exam did you take 1st?
