Hi,

I just passed the CPA. However I worked for big 4 for the last seven years and just changed jobs this April 2009 so I wouldn't have the one year experience at this current job, but would have the experience from my firm. Do you just call HR up from your old job a the firm and see if they can send a letter?

Have anyone encountered this before?

I did not work for a big 4, but I worked at a mid sized CPA firm for 2.5 years before starting my current job. I emailed a few partners at my old firm about signing off on my experience, and they said they would take care of it.

From what I've heard, there are people at the Big 4 whose jobs are to sign off on experience, so yes, just call up HR from your old job.
