I'm planning out my 2010 study schedule and with tax season, I won't have the time to put into serious studying until late April. This is my first go-round and I am planning to order Becker. I'd appreciate any scheduling advice/feedback based on what I have planned out below. Too much time? Am I dragging it out too long?
Study for FAR: April, May, June, July 2010 Take FAR: August 1, 2010
Study for BEC: August, September, October 2010 Take BEC: November 1, 2010
Study for REG: April, May, June, July 2011 Take REG: August 1, 2011
Study for AUD: August, September, October 2011 Take AUD: November 1, 2011
Also, does anyone know how much Becker's discount is for signing up for all 4 sections at once?
Thanks for the help.

Only you can decide, but IMO that's way too long. I would try to knock out all the sections before the changes on January 1, 2011. I would suggest taking FAR July 1 and AUD at the end of Aug. Then I would take BEC Oct 1 and REG at the end of Nov, but that's just me.

Heres the problem with your plan... Assuming you pass your first part on August 1, 2010. If you follow up with your plan studying for the amount of months you wrote you will only leave yourself with a 3 month cushion. If you do not fail anything (according to your plan), you will finish on Nov. 1, 2011 which is 3 months shy of when you lose your first credit. That is way too close.
Sure you can make that argument that all this studying will def. have you pass. And of course nobody plans to fail, but I think you need give yourself a cushion. Even the best fail sometimes, and you need to plan for it just in case.
Rule of Thumb:
BEC: 100 hours
AUD: 125 hours
REG: 150 hours
FARE: 200 hours
give or take... I do not think 4 months is necessary for any test. But at least you got the right idea as far giving more time to a part like FARE especially in the beginning.
