Hi,
I had a question about forgiven liability. If a shareholders' of the parent company in another country pay for management's salaries of the subsidiary. The subsidiary records it as accrued expenses to be paid back to the shareholders'. In the next year, the shareholders' forgive these expenses. How should we treat this? Is it going to be income or just paid in capital?
Thank you,
Saira
