I have been working for a CPA who is 72 years old and might retire (or die) at some unknown time. He told me that he would be my sponsor, but he has never done this before. Does he need to write a letter or fill out a form for me?

Check with the Board of Accountancy in your state. In my state, there is a
form you can print from the website called a "Certificate of Experience." It is
only one page and looks pretty easy to fill out.

You may want to check this out

http://all.nasbatools.com/jurisdiction/list_jurisdiction

This helped me a lot in my Licensing process. It has all the steps needed, forms etc for your selected state. You will need to pay around $45 for your state but I think its worth.

Hope it helps
