I'd like to be posting here having already passed each
section; unfortunately I'm taking FAR on 10/14 and AUD on
11/30, the first of my attempts at the exam.
My question is, when it IS all said and done with, and
I've passed each of the four sections (god willing), is
there any sort of time limit between my last exam and (1)
the ethics exam and (2) completion of my education
requirements?
I live in CT where you can sit with 120 credits, but need
150 for the license. I only have 120 at the moment and
don't plan to start my masters until after the exam.
Also, I really want to know about the ethics exam so that
nothing expires. I've heard people say that it's not a
part of the 18 month window but I can't find anything
other than forum posts addressing that issue. My state's
board of accountancy website is pretty basic and doesn't
contain a whole lot of information about anything. Once I
emailed them asking whether I could take half the exam in
2010 and half in 2011, despite the format change, and
they said they "weren't aware of any exam changes at this
time." And that's the SBOA...
So any help would be appreciated. I realize it may be
State-specific in terms of actual education requirements,
and actual ethics exam requirements, but I imagine in
terms of the timeline they're rather similar if not
entirely uniform.
Thanks.
