I finished my BA on 8/31/09 with 139 hours. Then I did 24 more hours in MS Tax. As far as I knew, I was eligible to sit for the exam. Now I am finding out I am missing EXTERNAL audit. I fulfilled my school requirements with an internal audit class. No one at that time told me that I could graduate with my Accounting degree, but I would not be CPA eligible without EXTERNAL audit. Are there any options for me to still sit for the exam? Or should I try another state? My school is CUNY Baruch. Since I'm a Tax major, I'm not sure if they will let me take the grad Audit class since it has prereqs from the grad Accounting major.
