Hello!

I got my email saying i am eligible for sitting in for exams.however i would like to know the process in simple words rather then the confusing email i got from the board.

They say i have to select sections to sit for,and selection will be transmitted to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a request for an Authorization to Test (ATT). So Should i select all the four sections together??or should i do one by one?

Then they say i get 9 months to appear for exam for  the selected sections ,but i think u get 18 months to appear!

Also when should i register for the online review course(becker) is it after selecting sections and paying fees or before?

I am so confused..can someone write down the whole process in simple words for me!

Thanks.

if you are truly serious about taking the exam and can see yourself studying and sitting for all 4 parts in 9 months (which is really 6 months because of the testing windows) then pay for all the parts. but we all know life doesn't always go as planned so my advice would be to select one at a time or maybe do 2 at the most.

after you pay your fees for whatever section, you'll get a notice to schedule (NTS) from NASBA which allows you to schedule your exam. you have to sit for the exam within a 9 month period in your case (other states it's only 6 months) before it expires. once you pass your 1st exam you have 18 months from the date you sat for the exam to pass the others before the credits start to expire.

you can order your review materials when ever you would like to. the sooner the better. good luck! i hope this helps some...

Hey..Thanks A lot!! This really helped me clearing my doubts! However please correct me if i am wrong: so i select one or two sections then i get a NTS and schedule accordingly for both or one? also if i appear for one section then when do i apply again for others?

And i am really very serious with this and ready to allot all my time in this!

To make things simple can u please tell me how have u planned  your schedule?

congrats for clearing FAR!!

Thanks Again for your time and Help!

thanks! well, in my case i started studying for FAR in august and originally i wanted to sit for the exam in october so i applied and scheduled in october. i had to reschedule to november close to my exam date though once i came down with a cold. since it was less than 5 days before the exam i had to pay a rescheduling fee.

currently i'm studying for REG and would like to test the very beginning of january. i haven't applied yet because i want to make sure that i'll be ready to take it at that time to avoid paying any rescheduling fees. hopefully in about a week i'll have a better idea and will apply. i hope to take the other 2 exams during february if i can adhere to a strict study schedule. after I take REG i'll have a better idea when to schedule the other 2. ultimately once you pay the fees you have the ability to schedule the exams at your liking within the testing windows and before the NTS expires.
