Has anyone started studying for BEC for 2011 using Becker? I am taking the exam January 2011 and started studying but wow, Two of the chapters are completely different(B1 and B5 to an extent) from 2010. It seems like an overwhelming amount of material even though it is only five chapters. Anybody else struggling a little bit? I am about to bang my head against the wall with all the questions on COSO and variances.
With Becker it seems those two chapters also have the most number of homework questions(two sections in B5 had 102 and 141 questions each!). I just gave up on solving all the sections that were over 100 MCQ because i think i got burned out especially since they were mostly calculations. Any word of advice from anyone taking the exam soon?

Am not aware of the 2011 changes, but can tell from experience - practise each MCQ available for BEC on becker material. You will be glad you did so while answering your exam~

I have to agree with FreshCPA on that one. There were at least 3 questions in my exam that were verbatim what I had done in Becker MC. One was a supplemental question that I remember getting wrong, and thinking I would never see a question like it. I almost didn't bother reading the solution because it was such an odd question - sure glad I did now. (Hard not to get burnt out on all those Q's though)

You may not get any of the same questions, but I can guarentee that many will be similar to what you have practiced. Just do the best you can. If you can get through supplemental at least once it may make the difference. We'll see when I get my score!

Hey Guys, I intend to work the multiple questions by using simulated exams in the Becker software. Just wondered if anyone felt as Overwhelmed because of the change in the content for 2011 compared to 2010. I did use part of the 2010 Course CD before i received my 2011 update but just amazed at the sheer differences in those two chapters! Either way, you are correct, i will do the best i can and keep working the MCQ until the day before exam.
