I have to finish 3 parts by the end of the year, so I don't lose my BEC credit. I was scheduled to give FAR this month but I'm just back home and have surgery scheduled for next week. If all goes well, I'll be back home a few days before the exam. So now I'm not sure which of these options sounds wiser and wondered if any of you might have thoughts re: this:

Option 1. Give the FAR exam anyway without preparation, even though I won't finish studying by then at all and I'll lose atleast another week again next week? Since I can't reschedule FAR until  after the results are posted and I have to reapply for the NTS, I guess I'll have to give AUD after that and then retake FAR next.

Option 2. Reschedule for April, continue studying FAR and give the exam in April. But will there be time to finish the next two exams and retake FAR until the end of the year, if I don't clear FAR in April?

Also, will there be more IFRS questions, change in exam pass #s etc in the next testing window?

Thanks!

Can you take it twice? it really sucks to lose credit for
any sections you've passed (i speak from experience) so you
dont want to risk that

I believe you should study for FAR and take it the first of April.  Study as much as you can by April.  That way you can schedule the other two at the end of May and July.  That will still give you 5 months to retake any that you failed.

Thank you for your replies yukagin and MAII.

yukagin: Technically I can but it would mean I give FAR end of this month and wait till the results to reapply for NTS before I can give FAR again or give AUD next and then FAR again but I don't know if its wise to switch back and forth.

MAII: Thank you for your reply!

I'm planning to take FAR either on April 9th or April 16th, and then Audit on May 27th-ish. I just wonder if 8 weeks for FAR, and 6 weeks for AUD is feasible.

I've been in such a terrible study slump and my motivation is out of the window, I need a study buddy to hold me accountable :-/
