Does anyone know when in the Audit 2011 course Tim Gearty says that we do not provide assurance regarding compliance to laws because we're not lawyers? I tried browsing through the lectures but I just can't find that part or if you remember hearing that and you know what he was talking about if you could just explain that that would be enough too.

What he probably means is, any answer to an Audit multiple choice  question that contains the phrase " auditor provides legal advice" is the wrong answer because we are not lawyers...

In 2010 he says it somewhere when he is talking about Negative Assurance, I believe for Underwriters. That would be somewhere in lecture 2, but that is 2010, not 2011.
