graduated in 97, took the paper test twice, 1998-1999, failed. fast forward
to 2008, 2 months after the birth of my twins i took 3 parts and didnt show
for one over a 2 month period. failed. fast forward to 2010. scheduled a test
every 1 to 2 months. studied exclusively from Lambers ipod course. read all
the the material, answered all mcqs, watched half of the lectures and
completed most sims. passed all 4 parts this time around. on 6/22/11 got
my last passing score, a 75 for FAR for which i was sure i had failed. passed
the ethics test yesterday. i dont believe i am finally done.it's really never too
late. there are not shortcuts or tricks to make this happen. spend the time
and really try to understand as much as you can, no mnemonics or amount
of note taking helps that. i personally only took notes on one part- BEC.
good luck everybody!

I am in similar boat.  I am trying my best.  I failed AUD three times already.  Not sure to go ahead or give one more try.

Great attitude my friend, you are never to old. Just keep hitting the revision and you will succeed. I hope I have this drive when I am 39 - should be proud of yourself.

I hear you. I'm in the same boat. Passing the exam seems easier than getting a job in the field though.
