Unsolicited, I received an inquiry email from a Big 4 recruiter who asked if I'm still interested to possibly set up a phone interview. It's been almost an hour since I responded and I haven't heard back. Was this a mistake by them?

your question isnt so clear... are you saying you never took the initiative to apply for a job there? and the email was without soliciting for a job?

yes...all she (he?) said in the email is if I'm still interested in an opportunity with EY. From her signature, it looks like she does experienced hires, assurance. I submitted a resume to an EY person for a transfer pricing position a year and a half ago, never directly a profile on their web site.

yeah, I never heard back about the transfer pricing position except the recipient saying that she got it...the recruiter has responded if you're curious...I've never worked in audit before, so I'm not sure if the position is entry level or senior
