Here are my personal thoughts on the exam, you study so much &
they test you on so little, you beat yourself up trying to master the
really difficult material & then they ask you a bunch of simple
questions you probably didn't focus much time on but I know that a lot
of the questions are "pre-test" & that the difficult ones outweight the
easier ones. My issue is, is it fair to test a candidates ability to
distinguish between minor differences when we study such a great
volume of material? I felt like some of those questions were what I'd
consider messed up!!
Now on to the simulations,
I've never seen anything on either Becker or Wiley even close to what
pops up on these exams. I had 2 research tabs, does that
automatically mean that 1 of the research tabs is pre-test?
Also I've asked people who have passed Reg to solve a sim I had
committed to memory & none of them had a clue including my old
audit professor (who's a CPA) understandably so....
Tough stuff I'm just hoping I did well enough to get a passing score
but this stuff never seems to get easier no matter how much you study
you wont know it all, but my worst nightmare is having a simulation
pop up where you swallow your heart & hope your last 2 months of
studying didn go to a complete waste !
