I was given the task to process and print the 2011 1099-R forms for the company I work for. We usually outsource this task, but we are trying to save this year. So I am looking for 1099R software to print the recipient copies on paper for mailing and be able to send the data electronically to the IRS. So I was hoping to get some recommendations about a good software I can use.
I use 1099R software called W2 Mate, which can print and efile both w2 and 1099 forms. W2 Mate can also import from a number of popular accounting software applications such as Intuit QuickBooks, Sage Peachtree and Microsoft Great Plains. Another popular 1099 processing software I know of is called 1099Convey.
