Greetings, Question for the forum... I have completed Yaeger for FAR but yet feel like I need to perform more than just the minimum multiple choice. I am trying to formulate a strategy for extra practice with Wiley software that is effective but not overwhelming.
With Becker, this is not as much of a problem as they do not give you a
minimum amount; they just give you enough MCQ so that, in theory, once you complete
them all, then you should be ready. This worked for AUD. With Yaeger, I am not so sure; this is not a criticism of Yaeger as Yaeger is intentionally less structured.
That said, how have you all used the Wiley software along with the Yaeger minimum MCQ for extra practice? An extra 20 or so for each module perhaps? Just go by intuition?
PS: My current (rather cumbersome) approach is to take the figure fo for the number for the total number of Becker MCQ (about 1700) for FAR and subtract the Yaeger minimum MCQ. I then allocate the difference among all of the modules based on Yaeger's totals per module. I feel like this method is effective but, of course, will not actually know until I have passed this exam!

I watch the videos and do the suggested MCQs to get a feel for which topics are most important, then use the Wiley test bank for additional practice.
My Wiley usage is pretty unstructured for the most part. I tend to create custom tests (using study mode) for the topics I have covered and just answer questions until I get tired of it, which could be anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more depending on how I feel on a given day.
The week before the exam I change to a more structured format and work my way up to full length exams to build up my endurance, like I am preparing for a marathon or something. I still use study mode since I feel like it's better to know when/how my answer was wrong while it is fresh in my mind instead of at the end. (if I get one wrong, I'll look at the correct answer to see why I was wrong then change it back to my original answer in order to keep my score honest and measure progress).

Those are just the MINIMUM questions. Do those and then invest in the Gleim software and do A LOT of multiple choice questions. I did over 1,200 additional questions on the Gleim software and that's how I finally passed FAR after 5 attempts, lol.

Advice: always do more than the minimum. Do as many m/c
questions as you need to feel as if you understand the concepts.
Forget about the "minimum amount" concept. As CPA#1 states get
the gleim software and practice as many problems as you can.

When did you start using Gleim? I am thinking about using
Yaeger for the 2 months and 1 week, then doing Gleim
software for the last 2 weeks non stop for FAR...what do
yall think?
